Espolòn Cristalino is a blend of Espolòn añejo with a touch of extra añejo, artfully filtered through charcoal to a translucent colour while keeping the brand's signature flavour, bottled at 40% ABV.
One of Maestro Cirilo's final creations, it is made from 100% blue Weber agave from the Highlands of Jalisco and water from the natural well beneath the San Nicolas distillery, an authentic tequila experience that can only be achieved with time.
Each silky, aromatic drop begins with rich notes of caramelised agave and honey, followed by a fruity, oaky finish. Exceptionally smooth, it is meant to be sipped and savoured.
Crystal clear and refined, it makes an elegant gift.
Sip it neat or on the rocks.
Añejo tequila is aged between one and three years in oak barrels of no more than 600 litres, long enough to add colour, sweetness and spice while keeping the character of the agave, which makes it a natural sipping tequila.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
Cristalino tequilas take an aged tequila and filter out the colour, keeping the depth of the barrel with the clarity of a blanco.
