Espolòn Flor de Oro is a seasonal, limited reposado tequila from the Los Altos region of Jalisco, aged at least two months in American oak and finished with marigold extract, bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
Flor de Oro, or Golden Flower, refers to the vibrant marigold, the flower that honors and celebrates Día de los Muertos, one of the greatest traditions in Mexican culture. It was Espolòn's first seasonal release. Crafted at the brand's home, Casa San Nicolas, with the same quality ingredients and signature process as all Espolòn tequilas, it elevates the reposado further by finishing the rich liquid with a perfect balance of rare marigold extract, producing a refined and elegant taste.
Golden in the glass, it offers a vibrant bouquet of caramelized agave, vanilla and subtle spice with a floral lift, balancing bold flavor with a smooth finish.
The Día de los Muertos label makes it a vivid seasonal gift.
Reposado, meaning rested, is tequila aged between two months and a year in oak, which gives it a pale gold colour and a gentle touch of wood while keeping the agave bright and lively.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
