Famille Paquet Pouilly-Fuissé 2019 is a Chardonnay from the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation in southern Burgundy's Mâconnais, at 13% ABV.
It is harvested and bottled at the family domaine, vinified by Camille Paquet.
Camille and Mathieu Paquet took over their family's estate in the village of Davayé in 2016.
Pale gold in colour, it shows ripe orchard fruit, citrus and a mineral line typical of the appellation.
Enjoyable now, it is an elegant white Burgundy for the table or a gift.
Good wine rewards a little care in serving. Whites and rosés show best chilled to around 45 to 50°F, while reds are at their most expressive slightly below room temperature, around 60 to 65°F. Opening the bottle and letting it breathe for a few minutes, or pouring it into a decanter, helps the aromas open up.
