Ferg & Harris is an Edinburgh-based independent bottler that selects and releases individual casks. This whisky spent 11 years in a first-fill bourbon barrel, cask number 800008, before a six-month finish in a virgin oak barrel.
Tormore's naturally smooth, fruit-driven Speyside spirit meets very active new oak here, giving a bold, candy-sweet, confectionery-rich profile. Strawberry and peach lead on the nose; the palate brings vanilla and s'mores, with apple crumble, orange and cinnamon and ginger spice.
