Rather than proofing with water, FEW brings its cask-strength bourbon down to bottling strength with cold brew coffee from Chicago's Passion House. The bourbon itself is made from a mash of 70% corn, 20% rye and 10% malted barley. Whiskey flavors dominate, but the smooth cold brew delivers unexpected depth and boldness, and it most definitely drinks like a whiskey.
It begins with dark, roasted coffee on the nose, followed by the classic FEW Bourbon flavors of cinnamon and clove, backed by corn sweetness, oak and hints of coffee that build sip by sip without overpowering, before a soft, approachable finish that lingers.
