Florescence is a partnership years in the making between Danielle Kartes of Rustic Joyful Foods and Heritage Distilling Co. The word florescence means the process of blooming and flourishing, and Kartes wanted a spirit that spoke to the vibrancy and beauty of life: a spirit designed for women by a team of women.
Heritage Distilling has been named the most awarded craft distillery in North America by the American Distilling Institute over the past ten years, out of nearly 3,000 craft distilleries, and it is a majority women-owned company. Its spirits, from its Special Operations Salute whiskeys to its vodkas, are poured at Heritage tasting rooms across Washington and Oregon, where you can also pick up a bottle of Florescence.
The base is a 100% corn vodka, naturally flavored with grapefruit and pomelo. It is lightly sweet, with a bit of bitterness from the grapefruit, bright citrus flavor and a smooth finish.
