Fords Gin is a classic London Dry gin created by bartender Simon Ford with distiller Charles Maxwell, distilled in London with nine botanicals and bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV), made for cocktails.
Fords Gin is found in the very best gin joints around the world, from iconic hotel bars to neighborhood spots. Simon Ford of The 86 Co. set out to create the perfect gin for mixing cocktails, working with Charles Maxwell of Thames Distillers, and it was created with respect for the traditions that have historically defined gin making.
Nine botanicals, juniper, coriander, lemon, grapefruit, bitter orange, cassia, angelica, orris and jasmine flowers, steep for about 15 hours before distillation in 500-liter stills at Thames Distillers in London. The spirit is then cut with local well water and bottled at 45% ABV.
Juniper-forward and bright, it balances classic dry gin structure with citrus from lemon, grapefruit and bitter orange, a floral lift of jasmine, and warm spice from cassia and coriander.
It is keen for all your cocktail adventures: a Martini, a Negroni, a Gimlet, a Tom Collins or a classic Gin & Tonic. At 45% ABV it holds its own through dilution, so the citrus and floral notes stay vivid in stirred and shaken drinks alike. It is a bartender's gin that works just as well on a home bar cart.
