Fortaleza Blanco Still Strength is the uncut version of Fortaleza's celebrated blanco, bottled straight from the copper stills at 46% ABV (92 proof) with no water added. This is the 700ml bottle.
It is made by fifth-generation tequila maker Guillermo Erickson Sauza at Destilería La Fortaleza (NOM 1493) in the town of Tequila, Jalisco. Blue Weber agave is cooked in traditional stone and brick ovens, crushed entirely by tahona, and double distilled in copper pot stills, and the tequila is additive-free.
Because it skips dilution, Still Strength is brighter, more rustic and more concentrated than the standard Blanco. The nose shows intensified roasted agave, baked fruit, green olive, earth and black pepper. The palate is fuller and richer, with butter, olive, earth, black pepper and vegetal agave, and more grip and texture, and the finish is long, dry and peppery, with persistent agave and mineral character.

Blanco tequila is bottled unaged or rested for less than two months, so it shows the agave at its purest: bright, peppery and fresh. It is the classic choice for margaritas and palomas, and a good blanco is just as rewarding sipped neat.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
