Fraser & Thompson is an elegantly blended North American whiskey co-created by Grammy-winning singer Michael Bublé and master distiller and blender Paul Cirka, a smooth, premium high-rye blend bottled at 84 proof (42% ABV).
Michael Bublé spent many summers with his grandfather at the confluence of the Fraser and Thompson rivers in British Columbia, and when he heard Paul Cirka's vision for a new kind of whiskey, he knew instantly what to call it. Cirka, founder of Montreal's Cirka Distilleries, had approached Bublé about becoming an ambassador; after tasting the spirits, Bublé offered to invest and partner in creating a whiskey brand instead. Fraser & Thompson launched on October 25, 2023.
Paul Cirka hand-selected the spirits for the blend, marrying Canadian rye, corn and malt whiskies with a small portion of Kentucky bourbon, about 92% Canadian whisky to 8% bourbon. It is blended and bottled in Bardstown, Kentucky, from American oak barrels Paul selects to create its distinct flavor profile.
Expect caramel and honey on the nose with a lovely hint of citrus, then sweet fig and blood orange on the palate, leading to a smooth finish of caramel and vanilla. It is easy to drink, made for those who appreciate life's simple pleasures.
