Galliano L'Aperitivo is an Italian bitter aperitivo from Galliano, bottled at 24% ABV.
It is built on extracts and infusions of Mediterranean citrus, including oranges, bergamot, bitter oranges, chinotto, tangerines and grapefruit.
A subtle addition of the heart of Galliano L'Autentico brings Mediterranean anise, juniper, cardamom, sandalwood, sage, lavender, peppermint, cinnamon and vanilla, for roughly fifty botanicals in all.
It shows orange and grapefruit zest, black pepper, vanilla and a faint note of rose, and it is a tad lighter in body than the best-known Italian bitter, with a touch more bitterness on the palate.
It is made for spritzes and Negronis.
Vermouth is an aromatised wine: a base wine fortified with neutral spirit and flavoured with botanicals, traditionally including wormwood, which gives the category its name from the German Wermut. Once opened, it should be kept in the refrigerator and enjoyed within a few weeks, as the wine base slowly loses its freshness.

It makes a classic Negroni stirred with gin and sweet vermouth, a Negroni Sbagliato with sweet vermouth and prosecco, an Americano with soda, and a Boulevardier with bourbon. Pair it with olives, salumi, salted nuts and Parmigiano.
