Garrison Brothers Bottled in Bond is the first-ever bonded expression from Texas's first legal whiskey distillery, a Texas straight bourbon from the Fall 2019 vintage, released in early 2026 and bottled at exactly 100 proof (50% ABV).
It strictly adheres to the 1897 Bottled-in-Bond Act: distilled in one season, by one distiller, at one distillery in Hye, Texas, then aged in bonded storage, here for at least six years. The Texas climate accelerates aging, giving deeper oak and intensity than the same years would in cooler places.
The result shows the intense, oak-forward character of Texas bourbon within the classic bonded standard.
A milestone for Texas distilling, it makes a fine gift for bourbon collectors.
Sip it neat or over a large ice cube.
Bourbon must be made in the United States from a mash of at least 51% corn and aged in new charred oak containers, and straight bourbon must be aged at least two years. Those rules give bourbon its characteristic sweetness, with caramel and vanilla drawn from the charred barrels.
Texas bourbon ages fast: the hot Hill Country summers push the whiskey deep into the oak, so a six-year-old Texas barrel shows the colour and intensity of a much older bourbon from cooler places. The Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897 was created as a guarantee of authenticity, and bonded whiskeys remain a mark of quality today.
