Garrison Brothers Red, White & Bourbon is a limited-edition Texas straight bourbon whiskey bottled at 94 proof (47% ABV), released as a tribute to active-duty military, veterans, first responders and educators.
The liquid is Garrison Brothers' flagship Small Batch bourbon, presented in a collectible bottle hand-dipped in red, white and blue wax. Garrison Brothers in Hye, Texas, was the first legal bourbon distillery in Texas.
The bourbon is distilled from corn, soft red winter wheat and malted barley, and matured in new American oak barrels under the extreme temperature swings of the Texas Hill Country, which accelerate the interaction between spirit and wood. Each small batch is blended from hand-selected barrels.
As a wheated bourbon, it trades the sharp black pepper spice of a rye-heavy mash bill for a dense, oaky, dessert-like sweetness. Its tri-colour wax makes it a striking gift for patriotic celebrations.
Enjoy it neat or on the rocks.
Bourbon must be made in the United States from a mash of at least 51% corn and aged in new charred oak containers, and straight bourbon must be aged at least two years. Those rules give bourbon its characteristic sweetness, with caramel and vanilla drawn from the charred barrels.
A straight bourbon is made from at least 51% corn and aged at least two years in new charred oak containers, with nothing added but water.
