Gentleman's Cut Player Exclusive: Shacho is a limited, Japanese-inspired release from Stephen Curry's bourbon brand, an 11-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon finished in new Mizunara oak barrels from Japan's Hokkaido Prefecture. It is bottled at 105 proof and limited to just 850 bottles.
The Player Exclusive series marks milestones and philosophies in Curry's career, and Shacho, Japanese for company president, is the most culturally expansive entry yet, launched in early 2026. The bourbon is distilled from a mash bill of 78% corn, 13% rye and 9% malted barley, aged for 11 years, then finished in Mizunara, the rare Japanese oak prized by whisky makers for its incense-like aromas.
On the nose come Kyara incense, sandalwood, coconut and warm spice, the signature notes of Mizunara oak, and the palate brings cinnamon and toasted oak over the depth of an 11-year-old bourbon.
The bottle wears Gentleman's Cut's classic label with a red seal bearing Japanese characters, marking it as a Player Exclusive. It is a prized collectable for Curry fans and a fascinating bottle for anyone who loves the meeting of Kentucky bourbon and Japanese oak.
With only 850 bottles released, it is a genuinely scarce bottle.
