Gloria Ferrer Blanc de Noirs is a sparkling wine from the Sonoma Carneros district of California, bottled at 12.5% ABV. Gloria Ferrer was the first sparkling wine house in Sonoma Carneros.
It is predominantly made from hand-harvested Pinot Noir, 92%, with 8% Chardonnay, from the estate's 340 acres, where over forty different clones and selections of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are planted.
Made by the traditional method, it takes its slightly pink colour from a special pressing technique and a small addition of Vin Gris blended into the base cuvée.
It shows bright strawberry and black cherry aromas with subtle vanilla, and creamy cherry, lemon and cola flavours on a lush palate with small, lively bubbles and a persistent finish.
It is a versatile, food-friendly sparkling wine for celebrations and dinners alike.

How to Enjoy It
Serve Gloria Ferrer Blanc de Noirs well chilled, at around 6 to 8°C, in a tulip or white wine glass. Chill the bottle for a few hours in the refrigerator, or for about twenty minutes in an ice bucket filled with ice and water, and open it gently, holding the cork and turning the bottle, so the fine bubbles stay in the glass. It is outstanding with crab, Thai cuisine, roast pork, quail, foie gras or semi-sweet desserts, and with seasonings such as star anise, plum sauce and tarragon. For the cheese course, try triple-aged Gouda or hard aged cheeses with persimmons and hazelnuts. Once opened, a sparkling wine stopper will keep it lively in the refrigerator for a day or two.
