Goalong Distillery was founded in 2017 in Hunan province, in the canyon basin of the Liuyang River surrounded by high mountains, following the creation of the Goalong brand in 2011. The region's enormous swings in temperature drive a lively interaction between whisky and wood, accelerating the ageing process.
The nose brings honey and sweet malt with floral and woody nuances, along with hazelnut. The palate is soft-bodied, with balanced vanilla, nectar and fruity notes, cream, toffee and biscuit, and the finish is light and rounded, with fruit, vanilla, cinnamon and a touch of soft smoke.
