Gothic Gin is an award-winning, hand-made, ultra-premium contemporary gin built on seven hand-selected, sustainably sourced botanicals, including Valencia orange peel and eucalyptus, and bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV).
The story begins in 2017, when founder Chris traveled to the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona, Spain, to study the art of making gin. There the recipe for Gothic Gin was born and perfected, and the gin is designed to capture the lively, fragrant nightlife of that historic neighborhood.
At its heart is a classic core of juniper, angelica root, orris root and coriander seed. Orris, the aged root of the iris, is dried for at least five years before being powdered, and gives the gin its elegant texture, while angelica adds an earthy depth. That core is rounded out with bold Valencia orange peel from the US, which brings a bolt of sunshine and just the slightest sweetness, and the distinctive green, herbal notes of eucalyptus from Portugal.
The taste is smooth, with distinct, clean botanicals: bright orange citrus and fresh eucalyptus over a firm juniper backbone. On the neck of each bottle are the words "Per Divinitatem Lumen," enlightenment through divinity, a nod to the company's dedication to philanthropy focused on keeping waters and oceans clean.
At 45% ABV, Gothic Gin is the perfect base for premium cocktails, a crisp Martini or a wonderful Gin & Tonic.
