Gran Centenario Cristalino is a crystal-clear tequila blended from Gran Centenario's finest reserves of añejo and extra añejo, finished in Calvados casks and filtered through Mexican silver, bottled at 40% ABV.
The tequilas are twice distilled in copper pot stills and aged in new American oak. Once married, the blend is finished in Calvados casks for extraordinary character, then undergoes a proprietary process culminating in a meticulous filtration through Mexican silver. Gran Centenario has made tequila the traditional way since 1857, roasting agave in brick ovens and distilling slowly in small batches in the highlands of Jalisco.
Cooked agave and caramel dominate the aroma, with hints of vanilla, oak, apple and fruit. It is sweet and round in the mouth with long, intense retro-olfaction, and the finish is ultra-smooth.

Añejo tequila is aged between one and three years in oak barrels of no more than 600 litres, long enough to add colour, sweetness and spice while keeping the character of the agave, which makes it a natural sipping tequila.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
