Grand Marnier Grande Cuvée Quintessence is the most exclusive expression of Maison Grand Marnier, bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) in a handmade Baccarat crystal decanter.
It follows a century-old recipe found in the house archives: Bigaradia bitter oranges are macerated in Cognac and double distilled.
The blend uses the rarest and oldest hors d'âge cognacs, exclusively from Grande Champagne, including a 70-year-old cognac from the Marnier Lapostolle family's private cellar.
On the nose come fresh orange, almond, vanilla, spice and sandalwood; the palate brings bitter orange, nuts and peaches, with a marzipan and tropical-fruit finish.
Each teardrop-shaped decanter is mouth-blown by Baccarat, and its spiralling, ribbon-like neck aerates the liqueur as it is poured. The blend is a tribute to the craft of Master Blender Patrick Raguenaud, and only a very small number of decanters have been released worldwide, making it a true collector's piece.

How to Enjoy It
Quintessence is made for slow sipping: pour a small measure, neat, into a tulip glass or snifter at room temperature and let it open for a few minutes. Enjoy it after dinner with dark chocolate, crème brûlée, roasted nuts or a quiet evening by the fire. Keep the decanter upright, away from heat and light; once emptied it remains a striking piece of Baccarat crystal. It is an unforgettable gift for a collector, a retirement or a once-in-a-lifetime milestone.
