Alongside American bourbon, it offers small releases of single malt and single grain Irish whiskey, often with cask strength, single barrel or double wood finishes.
The whiskey was made from a mash bill of 95% French maize and 5% Irish malted barley, distilled in a twin-column Coffey still. That gives a light, sweet grain spirit, and after its time in ex-bourbon barrels it moved into casks from Foursquare Rum Distillery's Exceptional Cask Selection line, which held the Mark X 2007. Those Barbados rum casks layer tropical rum character over the soft corn sweetness of the grain whiskey.
At a full 100 proof, it is a rare meeting of Irish whiskey and Barbados rum, and a great gift for drinkers who love both.
