Hornitos was introduced to the world in 1950 by Don Francisco Javier Sauza in honor of Mexican Independence Day. It is produced at La Perseverancia, the historic Tequila Sauza distillery in Jalisco; Casa Sauza, founded in 1873 by Don Cenobio Sauza, is one of the oldest tequila houses in the country.
Hornitos Reposado is made from 100% blue agave, labeled 100% puro de agave, and rested in large oak vats for at least two months. The resting softens the spirit and gives it a pale golden color while keeping the bold agave character at the heart of every Hornitos tequila.
It features notes of apple and herbs along with a strong agave nectar flavor, and it offers a warm and slightly astringent finish.
