Inverroche Verdant is a South African craft gin infused with fynbos from the mountainous terrain of the Cape Floral Kingdom, soft and floral with a translucent golden-green hue, bottled at 86 proof (43% ABV).
Inverroche was founded by Lorna Scott and her family in the coastal village of Stilbaai (Still Bay) in the Western Cape, and it was South Africa's first fynbos gin. Scott's idea grew from a long fascination with distilling and a passion for Cape fynbos, the indigenous flora of the Cape Floral Kingdom, and from the story of how fynbos contributed to the survival and wellbeing of early humans at the southern tip of Africa. At the heart of the distillery stands Magnanimous Meg, a custom-built copper pot still, named like Mini Meg, the original pot still on which Lorna developed the recipe; each small batch is a labour of precision.
Verdant's mountain fynbos gives it a floral, soft character and a softly sweet texture, with juniper, fresh citrus and the herbal lift of the Cape's wild botanicals.
