Joseph Cartron Triple Sec is a full-strength orange liqueur bottled at 40% ABV. Joseph Cartron is a family distillery in Nuits-Saint-Georges, in Burgundy, producing benchmark liqueurs since 1882.
It is made from sweet Para oranges from Brazil and Florida and bitter Bigarade oranges from the Ivory Coast and Sicily. The orange peels are separated from the pith and distilled in a small copper pot still.
Crystallised sugar is then slowly incorporated into the distillate, and the liqueur is not chill-filtered and contains no colourings.
The result is a zesty orange liqueur with a good balance between alcohol, orange and sugar.
It is a bartender's essential for margaritas, sidecars and cosmopolitans.

How to Enjoy It
Use Cartron Triple Sec anywhere a recipe calls for triple sec. It makes a classic Margarita shaken with tequila and fresh lime juice, a Sidecar with cognac and lemon, a Cosmopolitan with vodka, cranberry and lime, a White Lady with gin and lemon, and a Corpse Reviver No. 2. A splash brightens a sparkling wine cocktail or an Old Fashioned. On its own, serve it over ice with a twist of orange after dinner. In the kitchen, it is lovely in crêpes Suzette, orange glazes and chocolate desserts. Pair it with citrus tarts and dark chocolate. Keep the bottle in a cool, dark place after opening.
