Lost Horse Whiskey is a craft-produced blended American whiskey from Joshua Tree Distilling Co., non-chill filtered with no added colors, sweeteners or artificial ingredients, bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
It is named after the famous Lost Horse gold mine in what is today Joshua Tree National Park, which produced gold and silver between 1894 and 1931. A story of serendipitous good fortune inspires the blend: the distillery, just outside the park, carefully chooses a proprietary blend of mash bills and ages from high-quality American casks to create a supremely approachable all-American whiskey. Lost Horse won a Double Gold medal and a Best in Category award at the 2023 American Distilling Institute World Spirits Competition, and 1% of all sales is donated to support Joshua Tree National Park.
It starts with a warm, sweet palate followed by a delicate spice, rounded out by a rich, nutty body. Incredibly smooth and easy drinking, it suits a night by the fire or an afternoon cocktail.
The gold-lettered label makes it a great gift for desert lovers and national park fans.
American whiskey covers a wide range of styles, from bourbon and rye to single malts and light whiskeys, and independent blenders and small producers have made it one of the most exciting categories in spirits.
Blended American whiskeys combine different mash bills for balance and approachability.
Serve it on a large cube for an easy evening pour.
