Juegos Mexicanos Blanco is a 100% agave tequila presented in a handmade, hand-painted ceramic decanter, bottled at 40% ABV in a generous one-litre size.
Its decanter celebrates traditional Mexican games and designs, painted in vivid colours on a black glaze, so the bottle is as much a piece of folk art as a tequila.
Inside, the blanco has a diamond-crystalline colour, a soft aroma of cooked agave, herbs and fruit, and a soft, pure, sweet cooked-agave flavour with a light body.
It makes a festive gift and a colourful centrepiece for any bar, and the decanter is a keepsake long after the tequila is gone.
Enjoy it neat, chilled, or in a classic margarita or paloma.
Blanco tequila is bottled unaged or rested for less than two months, so it shows the agave at its purest: bright, peppery and fresh. It is the classic choice for margaritas and palomas, and a good blanco is just as rewarding sipped neat.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
Hand-painted ceramic decanters are a proud Mexican tradition, and many collectors keep them long after the tequila is finished, as decoration or as a vessel for their next favourite bottle.
