KAH Reposado is a 100% blue Weber agave tequila rested in American oak, bottled at 40% ABV in a hand-painted red and yellow ceramic skull inspired by Peruvian Day of the Dead traditions.
In parts of Peru, a dance to Satan is performed wearing long, dangling upturned crucifixes, said to be led by Satan himself, and tequila is poured on the ground as an offering to keep people safe. The cork takes the shape of pan de muerto, the bread of the dead.
KAH, which means life in the ancient Mayan language, is produced by Fábrica de Tequilas Finos in the town of Tequila, Jalisco, where Master Distiller Arturo Fuentes helped create the brand. The reposado is full-bodied and viscous, with an intense agave flavour and hints of vanilla and caramel.
Each hand-painted skull is a striking collectible and a memorable gift.
Sip it neat or on the rocks.
Reposado, meaning rested, is tequila aged between two months and a year in oak, which gives it a pale gold colour and a gentle touch of wood while keeping the agave bright and lively.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
