Keeper's Heart Irish + Bourbon Cask Strength is a blend of Irish whiskey and American bourbon bottled straight from the barrel at 118 proof (59% ABV), hand-selected by Master Distiller Brian Nation.
Keeper's Heart unites Irish and American whiskey-making traditions. It is made by O'Shaughnessy Distilling Co., founded in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in an old potato factory that houses three copper pot stills. Master Distiller Brian Nation spent years distilling Irish whiskey for Jameson, Redbreast, Midleton Very Rare, Spot and Powers before moving to America to help build the new brand and distillery from the ground up. Bottled at cask strength, this award-winning blend marries the sweetness of bourbon with the earthy spice of Irish pot still whiskey and the delicate butterscotch notes of Irish grain whiskey. It won a Double Gold at the 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Pot still spice is balanced with lingering bourbon sweetness and herbal notes, giving way to freshly charred oak and subtle barley cereal notes, with black pepper and roasted notes at full strength.
The copper key emblem makes it a standout gift for adventurous whiskey drinkers.
Blending Irish whiskey with bourbon is a rare, cross-Atlantic style.
At 118 proof, a few drops of water open up the butterscotch.
Serve it in a Glencairn to gather the aroma.
A large ice cube softens the heat for slow sipping.
It makes a bold Irish Old Fashioned.
Pair a pour with smoked salmon or aged cheddar.
It is a great gift for whiskey fans who enjoy both Irish and American styles.
Its copper key emblem looks striking on any bar.
