La Reliquia Mezcal Artesanal Joven Madrecuishe 750ml

La Reliquia Madrecuishe is an artisanal joven mezcal made from 100% maguey madrecuishe (Agave karwinskii) in Oaxaca, bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof).

It is distilled in copper in Santiago Matatlán, the heart of Oaxaca's mezcal country.

Madrecuishe is a tall, slender karwinskii agave known for a mineral, vegetal profile: light smoke, citrus and green herbs.

La Reliquia presents its mezcals in a distinctive rounded, triangular glass bottle with a copper-coloured stopper, the label giving the agave, the denomination of origin and the strength.

Joven mezcal is bottled unaged, so the character of the agave and the craft of the mezcalero come through clearly. La Reliquia Madrecuishe is a fine bottle for exploring Oaxaca's agaves beyond espadín, and a thoughtful gift for a mezcal lover.
