La Loma is the fourth field harvested for Lágrimas del Valle and the first from the state of Michoacán, a high-altitude ranch in Villamar. The agave is slow-cooked in traditional masonry ovens, crushed by a combination of roller mill (about 70%) and stone tahona (about 30%), fermented naturally in open-air steel and wooden vats, and distilled twice in copper pot stills.
The tequila rests for three months in ex-bourbon barrels, a light touch that has earned it a reputation as a blanco-lover's reposado, with subtle layers of oak that keep the vibrant agave character in front.
A single-field vintage from a celebrated distillery, it makes a fine gift for tequila collectors.

Reposado, meaning rested, is tequila aged between two months and a year in oak, which gives it a pale gold colour and a gentle touch of wood while keeping the agave bright and lively.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
