Lágrimas del Valle La Sabina Plata 2024 is a terroir-focused, high-proof blanco tequila and the brand's first harvest from the state of Guanajuato, produced at the esteemed Cascahuín distillery (NOM 1123) and bottled at 92 proof (46% ABV).
It is a Rancho Único expression, meaning all of the agave was harvested from a single field to highlight its particular soil and climate. Lágrimas del Valle releases its tequilas as vintages, each from one ranch, applying the winemaking idea of terroir to blue Weber agave. Its releases are additive free.
La Sabina is a high-elevation ranch in Guanajuato, surrounded by mountains, with dark, dry, dense soils and huizache (sweet acacia) trees growing among the agaves. These conditions help drive the brand's signature mineral, terroir-forward character, and the 92-proof bottling gives a richer texture and a stronger agave presence than a typical 80-proof tequila.
