Lobos 1707 Añejo Limited Edition is an additive-free tequila distilled from 100% blue Weber agave, aged in American white oak barrels and finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry wine casks using the traditional solera method, bottled at 40% ABV.
Lobos 1707 brings together two rich traditions: founder Diego Osorio's centuries-old family sherry-making heritage in southern Spain and the national spirit of Mexico he fell in love with. Spanish solera finishing meets Mexican distillation, creating a tequila rooted in two cultures, backed by investors including LeBron James.
This limited edition was released in a small run of only 9,000 bottles for the US market. It is elegant and inviting, with walnuts, caramel and vanilla and a mixture of fruit and spice such as apple, pear and a hint of ginger.
Rare and refined, it makes a memorable gift for tequila collectors.
Enjoy it neat or on the rocks with close companions.
Añejo tequila is aged between one and three years in oak barrels of no more than 600 litres, long enough to add colour, sweetness and spice while keeping the character of the agave, which makes it a natural sipping tequila.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
