Loft & Bear Artisanal White Rum is a Los Angeles craft rum distilled from Louisiana blackstrap molasses through a 21-plate column and pot still, bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
Loft & Bear began in a loft in downtown Los Angeles and is made by YSA, Inc., which later opened an 8,600-square-foot distillery in the heart of South Los Angeles. The rum is handcrafted by Los Angeles native Giovanni Machorro, the founder's protégé, and its label reads smooth, evolved, crafted in Los Angeles.
Gio distills the rum from Louisiana blackstrap molasses through the distillery's 21-plate column and pot still, which combines a clean, refined spirit with the depth of pot distillation. It has earned recognition at the Bartender Spirits Awards.
