Steeple Ridge Sweet Mash Rye is a straight rye whiskey from Lonely Oak Distillery in western Iowa, made from 60% AC Hazlett rye and 40% Wapsie Valley corn grown on the Hoffmann family farm, bottled at 92 proof (46% ABV).
Lonely Oak Distillery was born of a dream and a promise to make small-batch craft spirits from grains grown on the Hoffmann family farm in western Iowa, where they planted the seeds, harvested the grains and perfected their recipes. Steeple Ridge Sweet Mash Rye is distilled with a traditional sweet mash process, using fresh yeast and grain for every batch, which brings out a brighter, more expressive profile, and it matures in the barrel for two years or more. It won Gold at the 2023 Denver International, North American Whiskey and Heartland competitions.
