Lost Lore Still Strength is a high-proof, additive-free blanco tequila from the highlands of Los Altos, Jalisco, bottled uncut and unfiltered at 112 proof (56% ABV).
Still strength means the tequila speaks directly from the still to your glass, with no dilution and no additives between you and the highland blue Weber agave. It is crafted under the supervision of master distiller Sergio Cruz at NOM 1414, using traditional stone brick oven cooking, champagne yeast fermentation and double distillation in copper pot stills.
The nose brings bright highland agave with lifted citrus, white pepper and a bold vegetal freshness. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with roasted agave, green herb and a warming minerality, and the finish is long and peppery, with lingering agave sweetness and a clean, dry heat.
A bold, uncut highland blanco, it makes a fine gift for tequila enthusiasts.
Sip it neat, or make it the backbone of a Paloma or Tommy's Margarita.
Blanco tequila is bottled unaged or rested for less than two months, so it shows the agave at its purest: bright, peppery and fresh. It is the classic choice for margaritas and palomas, and a good blanco is just as rewarding sipped neat.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
