Lost Lore Tahona Blanco is an unaged, additive-free 100% agave tequila made with traditional stone tahona extraction, bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof).
It is produced at NOM 1414 in Arandas, Jalisco, home of Feliciano Vivanco y Asociados.
The agave is cooked slowly in brick ovens for around 50 hours and crushed only by tahona, with no roller-mill juice blended in.
The result is a rich, earthy blanco with deep cooked-agave flavour.
Lost Lore's tall bottle with its ornate label and coin emblem stands out on the bar, and the Tahona Blanco is a fine bottle for anyone who loves traditional tequila.
