Lote Maestro Plata is a 100% pure blue agave tequila from the Tequila Valley of Jalisco (NOM 1477), unaged and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
Lote Maestro makes a full family of tequilas, from Plata to Reposado, Añejo, Extra Añejo and Cristalino, all from 100% pure Blue Weber agave grown in the Los Valles region of Jalisco. The Plata is the purest expression of the range, with a bright crystal color and silver and straw-colored shades, presented in the brand's faceted decanter-style bottle with its crown stopper.
It opens with powerful herbaceous aromas and notes of wet ground, followed by fresh cooked agave and herbs on a soft, warm palate.
The jewel-like bottle makes it an eye-catching gift.
Blanco tequila is bottled unaged or rested for less than two months, so it shows the agave at its purest: bright, peppery and fresh. It is the classic choice for margaritas and palomas, and a good blanco is just as rewarding sipped neat.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
Plata tequila is bottled with little or no rest, keeping the agave bright.
Serve it slightly chilled to enjoy the herbal aroma.
A squeeze of lime and a pinch of salt make a simple, classic serve.
It makes a crisp Ranch Water.
Its decanter bottle looks great on a home bar.
