Maestro Dobel Diamante is the original cristalino tequila and the brand's hero product, a clear, multi-aged reposado made from 100% blue Weber agave and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
Diamante is crafted by blending Extra Añejo, Añejo and Reposado tequilas. After aging, the blend goes through a proprietary filtration process that selectively removes the color while preserving the tequila's complexity and smoothness. The agave is grown in the lowlands and highlands of Jalisco, slow cooked in traditional brick ovens and double distilled in copper pot stills.
Bright and clear with touches of silver, it offers fresh citrus, herbs, light vanilla and toasted oak on the nose. The palate is silky, with hints of caramel, honey and dried fruit over herbal agave, and the finish is long, clean and refined with lingering sweet spice and oak warmth.
Its etched, tall bottle makes it an elegant gift.
Reposado, meaning rested, is tequila aged between two months and a year in oak, which gives it a pale gold colour and a gentle touch of wood while keeping the agave bright and lively.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
