Martingale is a Cognac from Maison Thomas, fresh, fragrant and refined, offering an exquisite balance of complexity and smoothness, bottled at 40% ABV.
The Thomas family sold its eaux-de-vie to the great Cognac houses for more than a century before its fourth generation launched Martingale. True to Cognac but with a structure that appeals to whisky drinkers and an aroma evocative of fine wine, it is crafted from a blend of four of the most sought-after crus, with a notable Borderies content, and is made without additives or boisé.
A bright, precious amber with deep golden, honeyed reflections, it opens elegantly with spring flowers, acacia, light vanilla, almonds and madeleine. The palate is well rounded with an abundance of freshness, hints of tannin and oak balancing subtle floral and fruity notes, and the finish is soft and long, with elegant sandalwood.
A new-generation Cognac in a distinctive bottle, it makes a refined gift.
Sip it neat from a tulip glass.
