Martin Miller's Gin is a premium gin distilled in England by separate distillation in a single copper pot still, then blended with pure Icelandic spring water, and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
Martin Miller's search for the perfect ingredients took him to Iceland, where he found some of the purest water on earth. That discovery inspired a gin unlike any other, and Martin Miller's is widely acknowledged for helping trigger the gin renaissance with its modern twist on a traditional gin.
The gin is made in England in Angela, a universally respected single copper pot still created in 1904 by John Dore and Sons in Birmingham. It uses an unconventional separate distillation: first the juniper and the earthy botanicals (cassia bark, liquorice root, coriander, angelica, Florentine iris, cinnamon and nutmeg) are distilled, then the orange and lemon peels on their own. The two are combined into a single gin distillate, which gives a more harmonious balance of juniper and citrus.
Water makes up about 60% of a gin, so the distillate travels to Iceland to be blended with spring water from snowfall more than 800 years old, naturally demineralized by filtration through volcanic rock. That journey is why Martin Miller's is known as the three-thousand-mile gin, and it gives the gin its distinctive clean taste, gentle bouquet, superior smoothness and silky mouthfeel.
Expect a delicate balance of juniper and bright citrus, with soft spice beneath: a smooth, fresh and versatile gin that shines in a Gin & Tonic or a Martini.
