Mascota Reposado is an additive-free tequila made from 100% blue Weber agave, twice distilled and aged nine months in American oak barrels, presented in a hand-made porcelain decanter shaped like a bulldog. It is bottled at 40% ABV.
Mascota makes its tequila with a micro-oxygenation step that introduces tiny air bubbles into the agave distillate, then rests it in American oak to create a smooth, rounded reposado. Nothing is added, so the flavour comes from the agave, the distillation and the barrel alone.
The decanter is the star. Each bulldog is made by hand in Pachuca, Mexico: moulded and sanded, then fired in kilns at over 1,280 degrees to create vitrified porcelain with zero water absorption and high impact resistance. It is built in two pieces, so the cork and spout sit inside the dog's head and the join is hidden by the collar. The white bulldog is decorated with black sugar-skull style designs and comes in a doghouse-shaped gift box.
