Mezcal Derrumbes Michoacán is a joven mezcal blending Agave cupreata with a second wild Michoacán agave, bottled at 44.9% ABV.
The agave is cooked in an underground stone pit with black oak, fermented in underground pine-lined tanks and double distilled in a Philippine-style wood and copper still.
The cupreata lends ripe fruit while the partner agave brings green, vegetal freshness.
Expect salted lemon, basil leaf, ferns, pine needles and a touch of mineral smoke, with a long, clean, earthy finish.
Derrumbes bottles mezcals from different Mexican states to show their regional character, and Michoacán is one of its boldest. We also carry Derrumbes Durango.
