Mi Campo Reposado is a contemporary 100% blue Weber agave tequila from Jalisco, double distilled in alembic stills and rested in red wine barrels for a richer, smoother finish, bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
Mi Campo is a Mexican tequila created with passion and pride in the land it comes from, a reinterpretation of tradition that raises a toast to the spirit of modern Mexico. It begins with 100% blue Weber agave matured for seven years.
Rather than crushing the agave, Mi Campo gently squeezes the piñas after cooking them in stone ovens, illuminating the plant's natural honey character and quelling any trace of bitterness. The tequila is fermented in open-air tanks amid fragrant citrus trees, double distilled in alembic stills, and then rested in red wine barrels for an incredibly smooth taste.
Light straw in color with hints of gold sparkle, it opens with cooked agave, ripe banana, apple, chocolate and cappuccino, layered over vanilla, cinnamon, pumpkin and clove. On the palate, honey maple, peaches and cream, white chocolate and a thread of minerality segue to a pepper and toasted oak finish.
Enjoy it in a Mi Campo tequila and tonic, a Tequila Old Fashioned or a Margarita, or over ice. Salud!
Reposado, meaning rested, is tequila aged between two months and a year in oak, which gives it a pale gold colour and a gentle touch of wood while keeping the agave bright and lively.
