Mijenta Maestra Selection No. 1 is the inaugural release in Mijenta's limited Maestra Selection series, a first-of-its-kind blanco made from single-estate agaves de semilla, agaves grown from seed, and bottled at 50% ABV.
The series is the personal curation of master blender Ana María Romero, one of Mexico's most celebrated spirits experts and the creative force behind Mijenta, who selects specific batches of exceptional agave from the Highlands of Jalisco for their character and complexity. The seed-grown agaves average about eight years old, and their high natural sugar content gives an exceptionally rich tequila.
At 50% ABV, powerful aromas and flavours of cooked agave, roasted pineapple and melon, chocolate, caramel, dulce de leche and spices such as cinnamon and cardamom are complemented by notes of gardenia and a minerality that reflects the Highland terroir.
A small-batch, limited edition, it is a collector's treasure and a memorable gift.

Blanco tequila is bottled unaged or rested for less than two months, so it shows the agave at its purest: bright, peppery and fresh. It is the classic choice for margaritas and palomas, and a good blanco is just as rewarding sipped neat.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
