Milagro Añejo is an estate-grown, 100% blue agave tequila from the Jalisco highlands, aged about 14 months in American oak barrels and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
Milagro, Spanish for miracle, brings forward the fresh, mouthwatering taste of highland agave with world-class smoothness. Its Añejo rests in American oak barrels for about 14 months, resulting in a tequila that is smooth, refined and still agave-forward.
Pale amber, it opens with caramel, coconut and toasted oak on the nose, followed by caramel and coconut with chocolate, tobacco and tropical fruit, and a sweet yet spicy finish.
The tall amber bottle makes it a classic gift.
Añejo tequila is aged between one and three years in oak barrels of no more than 600 litres, long enough to add colour, sweetness and spice while keeping the character of the agave, which makes it a natural sipping tequila.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
