Oceano Azul Soccer Ball Reposado is a 100% blue Weber agave tequila from Jalisco, presented in a hand-painted, soccer-ball-shaped porcelain decanter holding a full litre and bottled at 40% ABV.
It is double distilled and rested in oak barrels for a smooth, golden finish, balancing the raw energy of highland agave with the soft influence of oak.
Expect rich notes of vanilla, caramel, toasted oak and baked agave, with a warm, lingering spice.
A striking collector's bottle, it is a perfect gift for football fans and a fun centrepiece for match days and celebrations.
Sip it neat, or use it in your favourite tequila cocktail.
Reposado, meaning rested, is tequila aged between two months and a year in oak, which gives it a pale gold colour and a gentle touch of wood while keeping the agave bright and lively.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
Its balance of fresh agave and soft oak makes it the most versatile style of tequila, as good sipped neat as it is in a margarita.
