Industrias Pampero was founded in Venezuela in 1938, and Aniversario was first crafted in 1963 to commemorate the company's 25th anniversary. Distilled on a continuous column still from fermented sugarcane molasses, the blend is matured in whisky and bourbon barrels, giving it a concentrated, rich flavor while rendering it delightfully smooth. Renowned among connoisseurs as one of Venezuela's finest rums, it earned Double Gold at the 2007 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. The squat bottle with its old-world label and finely crafted leather pouch is unmistakably Pampero.
Brown sugar, oak, spice and tobacco open the nose. The palate layers dried fruit, caramel, dark chocolate, leather and spice in a bold, velvety sip, with a dark, almost espresso-like depth.
