Partida Roble Fino Cristalino Reposado is a reposado tequila finished in ex-single-malt, sherry-seasoned casks and then naturally filtered to remove all of its colour while keeping its body and complex flavour. It is bottled at 40% ABV.
Roble Fino, meaning fine oak, is Partida's premium line, built around sherry-cask finishing. This was the first reposado cristalino finished in ex-single-malt sherry casks, and the filtration also softens the spirit's edges.
The nose brings sweetness and nuttiness with olive and wood. On the palate come dried fruit, cooked agave, toasted oak, vanilla and nuts, and the finish is dry and tannic, with a touch of black peppercorn.
The elegant clear bottle makes it a refined gift.
Serve it chilled, neat or over a large ice cube.
Reposado, meaning rested, is tequila aged between two months and a year in oak, which gives it a pale gold colour and a gentle touch of wood while keeping the agave bright and lively.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
