Patrón Citrónge Pineapple is a pineapple liqueur made with Patrón Silver tequila and Piña Miel pineapples from Veracruz, balanced between sweet and tart and bottled at 60 proof (30% ABV).
Patrón expanded its Citrónge liqueur line, which already included Orange, Lime and Mango, with Pineapple, designed above all for cocktails and easy entertaining. Like the rest of the range, it is made with Patrón tequila, and its frosted bottle carries the familiar Patrón bee.
The liqueur uses Patrón Silver as its base. The pineapples are Piña Miel, a smaller, sweeter variety cultivated in the Mexican state of Veracruz, which brings fresh, ripe pineapple flavor. Blending that fruit with a tequila base, rather than a neutral spirit, keeps a hint of agave in every sip, so the liqueur tastes at home in tequila cocktails.
Juicy pineapple, citrus and agave lead the aroma. The palate shows fresh, ripe pineapple balanced between sweet and tart, with a light tequila spice and a clean, crisp finish that keeps it refreshing rather than heavy.
Mix a pineapple Margarita with Patrón Silver and fresh lime, add it to a Paloma, or make a pineapple Daiquiri with reposado tequila. It also brightens sparkling wine or soda over ice. Shake it with coconut cream and lime for a tropical twist, or use it in place of triple sec in any Margarita to add ripe pineapple flavor. Patrón Citrónge Pineapple is also sold in 375ml and 1-liter sizes.
