Pinhook Tiz Rye Time 7 Year is the 2023 release of Pinhook's Rye Vertical Series, a straight rye of 95% rye and 5% malted barley blended from just 28 barrels and bottled at 105.1 proof (52.56% ABV).
The Vertical Series is a unique opportunity to follow a group of 450 MGP rye barrels as they age from four to twelve years, experiencing the arc of flavours across a nine-year journey. Each spring Pinhook blends a new batch of barrels and sets a proof to maximise the balance and complexity of the whiskey at that age. This seven-year-old is the fourth of nine annual releases and the most limited in the series to date, and it was awarded Best Rye Whiskey at the New Orleans Spirits Competition.
