Plantation 3 Stars, now renamed Planteray 3 Stars, is an award-winning white rum from Maison Ferrand, bottled at 41.2% ABV.
It is crafted by master blender Alexandre Gabriel as a high-character cocktail foundation rather than a neutral white spirit.
It blends unaged and aged rums from three of the Caribbean's most iconic rum terroirs: Barbados, Trinidad and Jamaica.
The result is fresh and complex, with sugar cane, tropical fruit and a touch of Jamaican funk, balanced by gentle oak from the aged rums.
The three stars on the label stand for its three islands, and the bottle carries the classic Plantation label that newer Planteray bottles have replaced. Because it includes aged rums alongside unaged ones, it has more depth than most white rums while staying clear and bright, which is why so many bartenders keep it in the well for classic sours.
Aged rum is one of the most diverse spirits in the world, shaped by the sugarcane, the still and the warm climates where it matures, which speed up the interaction between spirit and wood.

How to Enjoy It
Plantation 3 Stars is a bartender's favourite for classic Daiquiris, Mojitos and Ti' Punch, and it brings real character to a Piña Colada or a rum and tonic. Try it in a Hemingway Daiquiri with grapefruit and maraschino, or a Mai Tai with an aged rum float. Pair it with ceviche, fish tacos, jerk chicken and tropical fruit. For a gathering, chill the bottle and set out glasses, ice and garnishes so guests can serve themselves. A bottle also makes a thoughtful host gift for a dinner party or the holidays.
