Pochteca Tamarind (Tamarindo) is a tamarind liqueur made with tequila. Pochteca is a Mexican family company, Casa Pochteca, founded by Silvia Martínez Pérez and her husband Jorge Martínez Cano. Its liqueurs are made with 100% agave tequila and agave nectar, and bottled at 18% ABV.
It blends the traditional flavour of tamarind, a pre-Hispanic favourite, with high-quality tequila, to showcase the sweet and spicy profile of Mexican confectionery.
Tamarind was among the very first flavours Casa Pochteca made, alongside blackberry, coconut and marzipan.
